Hello dear readers,
I've missed you! I'm super excited to announce that I'm fully vaccinated and back in business! This week is my first week back to a full-time shooting and administrative schedule. I'm enjoying the week with graduation portraits on Monday, professional headshots on Tuesday, wedding consultation on Wednesday, a day off on Thursday, maternity portraits on Friday morning in Topeka, engagement portraits in Lawrence Friday evening, a wedding in Lee's Summit, MO on Saturday, and family portraits in South Park on Sunday. It's so great to be doing what I love again. Please get in touch to plan your future event or portrait session!
Here's some personal photos from the last year, while I took time off to stay safe in my covid pod. I can't wait to start sharing some of my professional photos with you again. Stay tuned!
Cody and Madeline's wedding was absolutely breathtaking. I loved their choice to wear black and have the bridesmaids wear white--such a classy switch-a-roo! I loved working with the beautiful couple taking photos straight in the heart of Downtown Lawrence Kansas. The two got ready at a hotel downtown, and since it was raining during our couple's portraits we headed over to the Watkins Community Museum to take advantage of their beautiful interiors. Then we headed to Maceli's for the ceremony and reception and did portraits on foot with the wedding party all around the block Maceli's is on. I love Downtown Lawrence weddings -- please send me all your friends seeking photography that shows off our quaint village.
I had an opportunity to work with amazing models, hair and makeup artists, and designers on this Romance Productions' Winter Wonderland project at the Historic Longview Mansion in Kansas City. Each photographer was given an opportunity to spend 15 minutes with several models and full use of the mansion to feed our creativity. I had a blast!
I loved spending the afternoon with Alan shooting some promo shots for his DJ career.
I had the pleasure of photographing Rapsody, Sa-Rock, and Heather Victoria's "A Black Woman Created This Tour" concert at the Granada in Lawrence, KS. These photos appear in I Heart Local Music. Concerts are where I got my start in photography, so I love still getting opportunities to photograph musicians I love, especially female rappers and r&b singers.
