Wedding Photography Investment $2000-3000

I freakin' love weddings. I love weddings so much because they are a fun celebration of your love and life and a really cool cultural rite of passage. I love capturing the special moments of your wedding day and creating timeless sentimental portraits for you to treasure for years to come. Each year I love meeting new couples and learning about YOU. What makes your relationship special? What are your goals with photography? I cater my locations, poses, and such to fit a style that will tell YOUR unique story. Cookie-cutter is the opposite of what I offer. My goal is to tell a unique story. My style is candid and documentary inspired. I wait for laughs, glances, action shots, and bursts of emotion and snap away to tell your wedding story. I create posed portrait moments as well to create fun and artistic images of you and your closest friends and family. I know that these photos will be treasured memories for years to come and I want to create images that YOU just love. 

I offer two packages. I encourage all clients to invest in the larger 8 hour package. I want to tell the full story of your wedding from the invitations and your shoes to your first dance and sparkler exit. To do that I need to be there for at least 9 hours with two 30 minute breaks. I've been photographing weddings full-time since 2010. When we cut corners on time, I am always asked to stay later or shots get missed. I don't want to put you in that scenario on the wedding day where you have to break out the checkbook to keep me there an extra hour or two or choose to miss major moments. That said, I do offer a no frills 5 hour wedding day package with fewer edits because I know that there are truly low maintenance clients with no centerpieces or getting ready photos needed. These folks are working within a smaller budget and are willing to forego some of the wedding day rituals to save money or be more authentic to themselves. These folks do not want photos of shoes or a cake or an epic sunset portrait. They may not even wear formal wedding attire. They want photojournalistic coverage and a few couple's portraits and family portraits to document the day. I see you. That is the reason I offer the smaller package. 

What does the process look like? First, contact me for a consultation. We will meet in person or over the phone if you live out of state. In this meeting we will answer all of your questions and get everyone on the same page about what to expect from Oh Snap! Photography wedding day coverage. Then we will accept your $600 non-refundable deposit, which will be deducted from your package total. Then we will book your engagement portraits. Within 3 months of the wedding day we will meet for a final consultation to work out the full schedule and shot list for your wedding day. The remaining balance is due on or before the day of the wedding. In addition to weddings, I love to shoot portraits for many different kinds of clients. My specialties are professional headshots, couple's and engagement portraits, family portraits, and senior portraits. For most of my portrait sessions, I work with clients to pick a good, outdoor location to take warmly lit natural portraits against urban or rural landscapes. For family portraits, my goal is to create a quick experience for families with children under 3, and create a fun experience for families with older children. Our goal is to get a couple picture frame perfect shots of everyone smiling and looking at the camera, but then the rest of the session is more candid and lifestyle photography oriented.  I love getting the kids involved in the shoot, letting them express their true personalities. Let me know if you'd like some silly props to help get the kids in the mood for fun!  I also enjoy candid lifestyle photography sessions in people's homes, this is great for families with small children and couples moving into a new home, anyone who would like photojournalistic photos of life at home. These images are more modern and candid with no posing. Lifestyle sessions can also be done at an event that you like to attend, anything from the Kaw Valley Farm Tour to the Hot Air Balloon rallies in KC and Topeka, to the County Fair--I am always excited and interesting in doing more photojournalistic types of coverage of families in their element doing fun things together.  Life is so much more than making kids all smile at the camera in same moment, if this is all you want out of your session, we prefer that you hire a different company. In addition, I do not offer individual newborn sessions, but I will do lifestyle sessions with parents and infants and I will do individual sessions with children 6 months and older. I also do a lot of professional headshots for individuals and businesses in the area. We can use a studio setting or shoot in your office environment. Lifestyle and branding images can also be created for businesses. I require a phone consultation to discuss options with business clients. 

For all of my portrait sessions, clients will have access to a proofing gallery where they can choose their favorite photos for me to edit. I edit photos giving clients a clean color edit, a black and white edit, and a creative edit. I offer photo retouching services like head swapping, creating a composite image from multiple photos, braces removal, etc. for an extra fee and only at the request of a client. I do light skin smoothing and teeth whitening retouching, but I do not do any extreme photo retouching, except on request and for a fee.  For the final product, clients will receive access to all of the unedited proofs, as well as, all of the final edited images (quantity depends on the package). Edited photos will be hosted in a public gallery on my website unless you request they stay password protected; proofs and boudoir or other intimate photos will be kept in a password protected gallery and taken offline anytime the client requests. Print packages can be purchased separately. 

I offer Senior Portrait sessions for LGBTQIA+ and gender non-conforming youth, as well as for heterosexual and cisgender students. I work with students of many different backgrounds. I recommend contacting me to book a consultation so that we can discuss packages, pricing, and give me a chance to meet your student. Together we will plan wardrobe, hair and makeup/grooming, backdrops, props, and styling considerations so that each session is unique to the individual student. I work with many gender non-conforming youth who want to play with gender expression while also working with transgender youth who want to present only a feminine or masculine look in their portraits. We are completely LGBTQIA inclusive and work with LGBTQIA youth from all over Kansas and Missouri.

Lifestyle Studio Portrait or Boudoir Sessions $400 + location fee

I love doing lifestyle sessions and boudoir sessions with couples, women, non-binary, trans, and LGBT people over the age of 18 (ID check required). These sessions can be done in your home, in one of the rented studio spaces I have access to, or in an Air BNB or hotel at your expense. My goal is to create a comfortable and body affirming environment that helps you feel at ease as we work together. We'll take fun photos and sexy photos and model-y photos, we'll play dress-up and try out ideas that work and some that won't.  It's a true collaboration, so bring props or outfits that express parts of your identity. I take TONS of photos so that you have maximum options at the proofing stage. I don't use styled sets or themed props, my goal is to feature YOU. You get to see every image from our session and pick the images you want from the proofs for me to edit. Edits include a more extensive retouching than I include with family portrait sessions.  My editing style is natural, but we'll whiten teeth and smooth skin and get rid of blemishes. If you don't want any retouching we can use the pricing from the portrait session menu, which does not include retouching fees.

NOTE: I do not offer any in-house hair and makeup, you must come camera ready. You'll just need to make your hair and makeup appointments separate from me, but feel free to run some dates by me based on the availability of your HAMU artist.

I am also a fan of wearing natural hair and makeup that you do yourself, the type of look that you like to wear day to day, something that authentically showcases the YOU that you put out to the world daily. We will make beautiful images no matter how you decide to style yourself. Oh Snap! is a body positive company. We want every person to feel comfortable in their own skin and to embrace the curves and lines that we have as authentically beautiful and magical. Our goal is to make photos that make you feel good. You decide on the level of nudity and who gets to see these images. The majority of my boudoir images are not available to the public at the request of clients who made them for themselves or their sweetie's eyes only.

NOTE: My sessions are trans friendly, queer friendly, and open to non-binary folks. I will not coach you into positions, gender roles, or poses that are not authentic to the way that you want to present yourself. 

These sessions are $400 for 1-2 hour sessions plus the cost of renting the studio or hotel or Air BNB. It includes all of the unedited proofs and 10-15 fully edited final images and full printing rights. No prints or albums are included with our boudoir portrait packages, but can be purchased through us or a vendor of your choice.

Lawrence Photobooth Rentals $600

THE OH! SNAP! PHOTOBOOTH! is a portable digital self-serve photobooth that can be set-up in many types of spaces. The booth is a digital alternative to photobooths that print photos on the spot. Instead, guests are urged to take tons and tons of photos that will go online for guests to freely download or buy affordable prints and photo products. The photobooth can be used with a variety of backgrounds, or set-up to showcase a specially designed area of your home or party location. I have many backgrounds to choose from. Optional prop boxes are also available in appropriate venues.  The OH! SNAP! PHOTOBOOTH! has been a local favorite at Lawrence parties since 2000. Unlike my competitors, my goal is to provide clients with the best possible photos of their loved ones enjoying themselves in the self-serve digital photobooth. We edit every image and use a professional camera & lighting to give you high quality photos of you and your loved ones. Email me for a quote. We regularly do wedding receptions, family reunions, school reunions, birthday parties, anniversary parties, office parties, nonprofit organization fundraiser event, children's birthday parties. Each type of event gives us an opportunity to bring out different props and backdrops that fit your theme/interests.

Photobooth Pricing: starts at $600

$600 for 3 hours, $100/hour for each additional hour

*If budget is your concern, and your event is within 2 weeks, please contact us and make an offer! If we have a booth and staff available, we'll book last minute at cheaper pricing. Minimum: $400. We do not offer free photobooths for nonprofit events. KU, Haskell, and Baker student organizations who book with us multiple times a year or for the same event each year, qualify for the $400 photobooth special. 

Serving Lawrence only or at weddings where we are also the photographer.

Deposit to Save the Date: $250, the rest of the balance is due the day of the event 

Prop deposit: $100 (this is only required for public events at bars or venues where props might get destroyed)
