I had a lot of fun taking extended family portraits for the Shaughnessy Family. Extended family portrait sessions are such a great way to document your growing family and create important memories as a family. The grandparents tend to really love these sessions!

When Foxy By Proxy performers get married, you may just end up getting to see an entire burlesque show and a wedding in one day! Taylor and Brian were the hosts of My Big Fat Foxy Wedding. The day began with a wedding ceremony for friends and families that included a drag queen flower girl, grand entrances with a troupe of fan girls, and a few burlesque performances to entertain the crowd gathered to celebrate with the happy couple. Later in the evening a 2nd full burlesque show was performed for a public audience. Enjoy these shots from pretty much the coolest wedding I've ever had the privilege to photograph. This wedding screams #LFK and #unmistakeablylawrence -- the iconic Liberty Hall is always a gorgeous venue for downtown Lawrence weddings. Enjoy these pics! <3

Here's proof that all you truly need to get married is a license, your friends and family, and pretty local park to hold the ceremony in. Taylor and Brian were officially married on September 11th in the Sister Cities Friendship Garden at 11th and Mass Street. The ceremony was witnessed by their family & a Best Woman and a Maid of Honor. Later the two had a full wedding celebration within a burlesque show at Liberty Hall. Enjoy these intimate wedding photos in Dowtown Lawrence. Stay tuned for the whole shebang.

Julia's Senior Portrait Sessions were so much fun. We did some portraits crawling around the alleys of East Lawrence and the Oread neighborhoods. We even did photos of her against the old yellow International truck my landlord owns. Our second session was in Oskaloosa, where she goes to school and we even had an opportunity to take photos against her school locker. So fun!
