It's not every day you get to make wedding photos for some of your dearest friends. So this one was especially special for me to document. This was no ordinary wedding, this was My Big Fat Foxy Wedding, a burlesque show and a wedding for the always dapper and beautiful, Mr. and Mrs. Reed. Enjoy the sneak peeks at the gorgeous, historic and iconic Liberty Hall Theater in Downtown Lawrence.

Chelsey and Brittany's fairytale themed wedding was absolutely perfect. The two were married at a family member's home, the Old Stone House in Tecumseh, Kansas. My favorite part was photographing La Marcha / The Grand March when the couple and guests are brought into a dancing ritual, ending on the dancefloor where the couple are surrounded by friends celebrating their new marriage! It's a beautiful thing to witness and photograph! Congratulations to these two beautiful brides! #lovewins

I just love Spring weddings and doing photos out at the always beautiful Victorian Veranda and Country Inn in North Lawrence. Christina and Mike were married on a beautiful Spring day. These hosted a morning ceremony in the venue's upstairs part of the barn, then followed by an afternoon luncheon and jam session for the groom and his friends to play Americana and folk music together. The groom is a maker of mandolins, note the beautiful details in one of the mandolins he made for a wedding guest. This was one heck of a great party! <3

I always enjoy working with clients like Ryan and Danny. These two opted to go without a wedding party, so our portrait time got to be only focused on the two of them. I love opportunities like this because we take the couple in my vehicle and shoot at random spots around the area. What we end up with, is a truly unique set of portraits against backdrops I have never and may never use again. Some of these and I can't even remember which alley they were in! The reception candids were perfect against the uber cool backdrop of The Cider Gallery, an art gallery in a warehouse in East Lawrence. <3

Shannon and Tai Amri's wedding day was perfection. Their vows were so beautiful (and full of comments about how they do not own each other), I had to ask them for a copy! Clouds were a godsend on this hilltop by the Clinton Lake owned by dear friends of theirs. The Arch and macrame were made by friends and highlighted the natural beautiful of Kansas in the Springtime. Enjoy these Sneak Peeks & Photobooth pics from their beautiful and rainy wedding day.
