Cynthia & Marshall were married this Spring at the Cider Galley in East Lawrence. I had a great time documenting their wedding day. My favorite moment is when Cynthia surprised Marshall by having MATCHING SOCKS hidden under her wedding gown. So cute! After the ceremony, we took Cynthia and Marshall to KU's campus to take a photo at the Wescoe bike racks, where the two shared their first kiss. I love making special memories like these with clients. Enjoy these photos from the big day! 

In April I traveled to Los Angeles to see Bikini Kill's Reunion Tour. While there I had the opportunity to take photos of Kerkyra and sts's family. It was so fun taking photos around the hotel before heading down to the show.

The BK show was a huge reunion for riot grrrl and queercore community from around the country. I met Kerkyra at a Sleater-Kinney show in Pittsburgh in 1996 and I used to be an avid reader of sts's zines during the riot grrrl era (sts was also in one of my favorite queercore bands The Haggard, check out their tag in the Replay bathroom). It was so much fun reconnecting with the two of them and meeting their child.
