Meet Jenny, for the last three years Jenny worked as my wedding day assistant and photobooth attendant. Her responsibilities at her full-time job increased and so I'm sad that she won't be working with Oh Snap! next year. I enjoyed shooting these family portraits for her. I feel like it was only yesterday that her son was still in a stroller and I'd catch her on a run with her jogging stroller. Now he's all grown up and learning how to catch the football with one hand! We had a blast shooting portraits on a nice fall day in Lawrence. Enjoy these family portraits! Jenny, you will be missed! <3

Jessi & Jon celebrated their wedding while also showing off their Star Wars fandom. I had the best time shooting this Star Wars themed wedding in Kansas City's very own Darkhorse Distillery. The couple invited members of the 501st Legion to join them, so we were graced with the presence of Darth Vader, storm troopers, and other costumed Star Wars characters. The ceremony was beautiful and also full of Star Wars references--I kinda wish I had a Star Wars translator with me throughout the day to help me decipher all that was going on around me. What a great time for all -- and they raised money for a children's hospital in lieu of gifts. What a warm gesture! Much love to these two and their children! <3

I had such a great time on Saturday shooting Tawni & Daniel's wedding at Victorian Veranda Country Inn. This was the last wedding of my 2015 wedding season and it ended just perfectly: great weather, beautiful rustic wedding venue, and a fun couple! My favorites photos are from the end of the night when I documented a little make-out session in Danny's truck--I thought they were the perfect couple to try out that little idea--as I'm always trying to think up interesting night portrait ideas. Enjoy these Sneak Peeks!

When Malakai & Kira asked me to photograph their wedding on Halloween I knew I had to do it! To ease up their wedding day schedule, we decided to divide the coverage into a couple & family portrait session on a day the week before the wedding so that on Halloween our only focus was in the events of the party. This was a great way to get lots of amazing portraits outside the pressures of a wedding schedule. Big fan of this, especially with couples who do not have a big wedding party or for couples who want to make sure to get lots of beautiful portraits of the two of them, or in this case, three of them! Gabel was very much part of Malakai & Kira's big day--I had such a blast photographing their family in spots all over town that are meaningful to them and their relationships. Much love to these three! <3

Jill and Eric met years ago at The Hawk while in college at KU. So when they came back from NYC to watch the Royals go on to win the World Series, they scheduled some time with me to take some engagement portraits around their alma mater. Enjoy this KU-Pride Focused Engagement Session!
