Enjoy photos from Kim & Jesse's Wedding Event* (*as they called it!) at the beautiful and iconic Abe and Jake's Landing in Downtown Lawrence last Saturday. Skipping a public ceremony, Kim & Jesse hosted a fun wedding party instead, and were married with only family present at the courthouse. These two lovebirds are highschool sweethearts--I had a blast working with them because they loved to have fun and get creative with their poses. Few things are worth me rising before sunrise, but this was worth it! I had a blast taking photos with Fally's family in the Grinter Farms sunflower field last week. ENJOY!

When Mandy contacted me asking if I had time to go to the Douglas County Fair and take family photos for them, I jumped at the opportunity. I've been wanting clients to ask me to do just this! Excursion family sessions are what I think of these as... invite me to the aquarium, the zoo, the corn maze, the Kaw Valley Farm Tour, the pumpkin patch, the sunflower field--I live for opportunities to take out of the box family portraits. <3 Look at the happiness on their faces--there's no photo prompt in the world that can evoke these responses in a typical session. <3 <3 <3
