Doug and Michael's wedding was my first day-long wedding of 2016! And boy, did we have fun! Lidia's Kansas City was the perfect backdrop -- it's the place they had their first date 11 years ago! These two were some of the nicest people we've had the privilege to work with. My assistant and I were even on the seating chart and enjoyed the most wonderful Italian food--definitely going to have to visit Lidia's again! My fave was the pear raviolis -- yeah, you heard right! Enjoy pics from the Datura Records Showcase at the Lawrence Field Day Fest This was a great night for showcasing local indie hip hop artists who are running their own labels -- rappers, DJs, producers of original beats all coming together to make local hip hop. <3 Enjoy some of my favorite moments. I had a blast working with Hilaire and Eric in Kansas City. Their ceremony was held at the incredibly beautiful St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kansas City, KS. I love all of the natural light that flows into this beautiful wood modified A frame designed chapel. From there we traveled to the Union Horse Distilling Co. (formerly Darkhorse Distillery) in Lenexa, KS where the two hosted a BRUNCH wedding reception. Despite the hour, drinks were had, brunch was eaten and plenty of dancing was enjoyed before a final ribbon wand send-off. The couple and their families (as well as all the staff at these venues) were such a pleasure to work with. Enjoy some favorites moments throughout their special day.
