I was familiar with some of the work that Eligh did with The Grouch and came out to the show excited to see him perform. What I found in addition was that opener, Dem Atlas, was absolutely amazing. He's on Rhymesayers and lives in Minneapolis, which is know for a scene that mixed both hip hop and punk. I heard that in Dem Atlas' music, this longing for community and it resonated so much. Eligh's performance is raw and emotional. He shares himself and his story on the stage, revealing himself to the audience in a way that feels really authentic. Enjoy the pics.
