As many of you know, I got my start in photography shooting bands in the mid-1990's in the DIY/alternative/indie/punk scene in Alabama. For so many years I got so much pleasure from documenting bands performing live, and then I became a "professional photographer" and my time got so booked up, I was no longer available to take photos of bands. In January this year, my resolution was to start shooting more bands again and to work effeciently with client projects so that I could continue to document local music and touring acts. I chose Lawrence to come to graduate school, because of the places I was accepted, Lawrence had the best local music scene. And today is no different from the Lawrence I moved to in 1999, in terms of local music in all genres, in various venues, all the time.
