After doing engagement portraits with Margot and Jon in all these wonderful and iconic Kansas City places like the Nelson Atkins, which the two are loyal patrons of, and Liberty Memorial at sunset, I knew I was just going to love working with these guys in their wedding day. Margot and Jon were super fun on their wedding day and always game when I had a quick photo moment to exploit, like when the sun emerged from behind thick clouds and we ran up the hill to capture the insane light. Those images look like they are taken on another planet, the colors are so strange and vibrant! My favorite part about this day was getting to shoot in a new venue! The Riverwood Winery outside Weston, MO is simply delightful! It sits atop a hill surrounded by forests, vineyards, and orchards with two gorgeous barns to use as backdrops and reception space. I wish these two pink flamingos a lifetime of love, happiness, and laughter. <3
