BLACK GIRL MAGIC: I had the extreme pleasure of getting to photograph Leikeli47 last night at the Uptown Encore Room. Kansas City marks the FIRST stop on her Acrylic tour and I am still fan-girling out at what an amazing performance and experience. Throughout the night, Leikeli47 built the audience up, encouraging fans to manifest their own dreams. In celebration of uniqueness, blackness, and queerness, she pulled people up on stage (including me) to dance and show her fans some love and then stayed after the show for a meet and greet with fans. She told the crowd to manifest abundance during her song MONEY, as we sang along, "I've got money." She inspired fans to celebrate their uniqueness and to find their own style. This was a love fest X 10. She's headed to Canada, NYC, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, and more--doing a full US/Canada tour--definitely check out her tour dates. Many of the shows are already sold out--get your tickets while you can. Don't sleep on this one. I'm on Cloud 9 today.
