Josh and Zach were such a pleasure to work with on their two-day wedding weekend. Instead of doing a traditional one day wedding, these two had their ceremony and portraits done on a Friday and then hosted their party and reception on Saturday. This gave us an opportunity also to do a Breakfast in Bed Morning After session with the couple in their hotel room in Downtown Lawrence. This is one of my favorite weddings because of all of these unique details that make their wedding photography that much more unique and fun. It also kept the entire experience very stressfree. I also loved how they incorporated their daughter into the day's festivities. The photo of them walking up the aisle with her is one of my absolute favorites. Enjoy these extended family portraits with the Grow Family. We had a bunch of fun taking photos together one beautiful summer afternoon in Lawrence. Each kid got an opportunity to let their personalities shine through as each were the creative director behind their own unique portrait. I love days like this when the client tells me not to force everyone into obedient smiles, but rather let's kids be kids and allow me to capture them at this unique age. The kid with the glasses and the dog tags might be my new favorite kid.
