It's not often I get the opportunity to shoot Topeka weddings, but I'm always pleased as punch when I hear they want to use the State Capitol Building as a backdrop for formal portraits and also like my idea to head to NOTO for some textured backdrops. (NOTE: I also had a fun time creating new ways of doing church portraits.) Enjoy these images from Andrea & Scott's beautiful Topeka wedding, the ceremony was at the First Lutheran Church and the reception was hosted at the Capitol Plaza Hotel Topeka. From the First Look to the dance party, this was a perfect wedding day! Congrats to the newlyweds!

I am super happy to share Nina & Lauren's beautiful wedding at Emma Creek Barn in Hesston, KS. These two were so beautiful in their wedding dresses. The photos show the magic between the two of them. Their vows were handwritten and perfectly sweet. Enjoy these images. #pride#twodresswedding #lovewins #marriageequality

Many moons ago, my old friend Jesse married Jennifer on some family land. It was a great pleasure to be invited to document Jennifer's extended family for their annual family reunion on 4th of July weekend. Enjoy these photos of an extended family playing together.
