Oh Snap! Photography

Lauren was such a sweetheart to work with! I love doing Senior Portraits with area Lawrence teens. Send all your Senior Portrait kids my way! It's a really fun collaboration!

I love doing wedding photography for old friends. I've know these two for over a decade. Enjoy these images for Matthew and Vanessa's vegan wedding at the Carnegie Building in Downtown, Lawrence. I love that they refused to compromise and got to feast on food they would enjoy! These two are both compassionate social workers who work in fields of great importance to survivors and people with mental illnesses. It was quite a pleasure documenting their special day. In addition, this is a notable Oh Snap! first: This is our first transgender wedding and we were excited that Matthew and Vanessa decided to show their pride by flying gay and transgender pride flags in the windows at their home. #lovewins

After doing engagement portraits with Margot and Jon in all these wonderful and iconic Kansas City places like the Nelson Atkins, which the two are loyal patrons of, and Liberty Memorial at sunset, I knew I was just going to love working with these guys in their wedding day. Margot and Jon were super fun on their wedding day and always game when I had a quick photo moment to exploit, like when the sun emerged from behind thick clouds and we ran up the hill to capture the insane light. Those images look like they are taken on another planet, the colors are so strange and vibrant! My favorite part about this day was getting to shoot in a new venue! The Riverwood Winery outside Weston, MO is simply delightful! It sits atop a hill surrounded by forests, vineyards, and orchards with two gorgeous barns to use as backdrops and reception space. I wish these two pink flamingos a lifetime of love, happiness, and laughter. <3

One of my favorite subjects to photograph are my friends with their kids. It's so fun to get to know your friends' kids and to get an opportunity to go out and have some fun together enjoying a new local park. For this session we chose Broken Arrow Park so we could enjoy the fall foilage and the cute antique cement turtle playground equipment. Enjoy these pics of Ruby & Rusty and the gang. :)
